Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance and sanitation activities, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant warehouse operations.

The role leads a fast-paced team, optimizes processes, and uses WMS reporting to support inventory accuracy and shipping/receiving workflows. You will coordinate with other departments, ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, and manage budgets while driving continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• College or trade school degree desirable and/or equivalent work experience in areas of refrigeration and electrical maintenance required.
• Thorough knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems required.
• Working knowledge of computerized maintenance programs to document and schedule maintenance tasks.
• Strong leadership and ability to supervise others.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance and sanitation teams, ensuring preventive maintenance is performed on schedule.
• Maintains planned maintenance tasks using CMMS and tracks work orders.
• Verifies inventory procedures and ensures proper parts are stocked.
• Oversees shipping/receiving coordination and grounds maintenance partnerships.
• Monitors department budgets and enforces safety regulations.
• Coordinates with outside vendors and landscapers for facility needs.
