Ability Beyond is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Bethel, Connecticut to lead a team of drivers and aides, oversee daily operations, and ensure safe, reliable transport for individuals across Connecticut and New York.

You will coordinate routes, manage staffing, and work with program leaders to optimize service delivery while maintaining high customer service standards. Prior experience in transportation operations and strong leadership are essential for success in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CT PPEC and V endorsements may be required.
• Ability to meet Federal DOT requirements and maintain driving credentials.
• Reliable personal vehicle and insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day transportation operations and supervise drivers and aides.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling and performance management.
• Coordinate schedules, vacations, call-outs, and leaves to ensure staffing.
• Dispatch drivers to routes and respond to incidents and disruptions.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance, inspections, and vendor appointments.
• Monitor fleet utilization and identify efficiency improvements.
• Maintain transportation data in systems, monitor GPS and safety tech.
