Job summary

DATTCO, INC in New Britain, CT seeks an Operations Supervisor – Coach & Tour to lead frontline operations, ensuring safe, reliable transportation and exceptional service. You will translate plans into daily execution, align drivers, vehicles, and schedules, and drive real-time responses to changing conditions.

The role works with Terminal Manager and Sales, Maintenance, and Safety teams to maintain service standards, optimize resources, and deliver best-in-market performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or service operations within a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to manage real-time operational challenges.
• Ability to triage and prioritize operational issues to minimize disruption of service.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily transportation operations with accountability for on-time performance, service reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage real-time scheduling adjustments to address changes driven by traffic, weather, equipment availability, or driver constraints.
• Ensure trips are properly staffed and vehicles/drivers are prepared and dispatched on time to meet customer expectations.
• Identify and resolve operational disruptions quickly to minimize customer impact.
• Supervise and coordinate a diverse driver workforce, ensuring schedules are fair, efficient, and compliant with regulations.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and workforce readiness in collaboration with recruiting and leadership.
• Administer scheduling to maximize utilization of drivers and fleet resources across a diverse trip portfolio.
• Coordinate with maintenance and other terminals to optimize vehicle availability and utilization.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers and internal stakeholders regarding service changes.
