Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a transportation operations manager in Fargo, ND to lead planning, dispatch, and routing for on-time deliveries. You will supervise drivers, coordinate cross-department efforts, and drive cost-effective logistics while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and experience with DOT/CSA and OSHA standards, with a Monday–Friday schedule and potential weekend on-call based on needs.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate or Bachelor degree in logistics/transportation and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years in transportation planning/logistics/dispatch.
• Experience with regulatory compliance (DOT/CSA, OSHA) and union environments may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation operations including supervising drivers, dispatching, routing and planning.
• Collaborate with warehouse, maintenance, and customer service departments to resolve issues.
• Plan and coordinate deliveries, backhauls, and third-party cartage for cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate rates with third-party carriers as needed.
• Ensure DOT/CSA and safety compliance; review HOS and trip reporting.
