Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in logistics/transportations/or supply chain operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, analytical and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong decision-making, problem solving and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand labor scheduling process and work schedules to achieve maximum retail service within available DOT hours by making driver and tractor assignments.
• Monitor driver logs for compliance with break times and support DOT compliance activities.
• Sort and route customer loads, same day and next day delivery and backhauls using routing software.
• Communicate with drivers and customers regarding concerns, delays, changes and resolve as necessary.
• Coach, counsel, and train associates on proper methods to ensure completion of the job effectively.
• Assist supervisor with union grievances and contractual adherence.
