Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts seeks a Transportation Supervisor to lead day-to-day transportation operations within the distribution center, ensuring safe and compliant delivery of products. You will supervise drivers, manage fleet readiness, and coordinate daily execution to meet goals while maintaining regulatory compliance and high service standards.

You will oversee routing, staffing, and workload distribution, hire and train staff, and monitor performance to ensure accountability.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of FMCSR and hazmat regulations.
Familiarity with ELDs and OOS criteria.
MS Office proficiency (Outlook/Excel/Word).
Experience in transportation operations and scheduling.
Ability to supervise multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily transportation operations, including routing, departures, deliveries, and driver execution.
Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery.
Lead transportation team members, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
Set expectations, monitor performance, and provide feedback for accountability.
Ensure DOT compliance, FMCSR, hazmat, and ELD usage.
Oversee fleet readiness, inspections, and service schedules to meet standards.
Identify safety risks and conduct safety meetings to promote a safety culture.
Monitor departures and plan to meet delivery timelines.
Coordinate special deliveries with departments to support operations.
Communicate staffing and fleet requirements for coverage and capacity.
Maintain reports on fleet performance, compliance, and metrics.
Track KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
Support process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and service levels.
Maintain professional communication within the team.
