Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Texas Pupil Transportation Official Certification within one year of hire.
• Class B Texas CDL with Passenger & School Bus Endorsements within 90 days.
• School Bus Driver Safety Training Certification within 90 days.
• Strong communication, organization and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director and Assistant Director with supervision of transportation operations.
• Oversee budgeting and the requisition, distribution, and accounting of departmental resources and fixed assets.
• Supervise routing and scheduling personnel to ensure efficient route services.
• Oversee safety and training personnel in development and implementation of training procedures.
• Promote safety, reliability, and customer service within the department.
• Interview and make recommendations for employment/dismissal of Transportation Department employees.
• Communicate transportation policies to campus staff for compliance and clarity.
