Job summary

Flood and Peterson Insurance is seeking a driven Risk Advisor to lead the Transportation Non-Fleet Practice in Colorado. You will build your own book of business, advise transportation and logistics clients on risk management, and collaborate with service teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions.

The role emphasizes prospecting, pipeline development, and strong relationship management with business owners and executives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (AA) or four to six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possess and maintain a Colorado Property & Casualty Producer License.
• Possess and maintain Specialist in Transportation and Risk (STAR) designation.
• Requires current Colorado driver’s license and acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and build a pipeline throughout Colorado’s transportation and logistics community.
• Manage client relationships as a trusted risk management advisor.
• Develop new business opportunities and meet/exceed sales targets.
• Assess transportation, operational, and organizational risks to tailor insurance solutions.
• Collaborate with service teams and carrier partners to deliver exceptional service.
• Engage with industry associations and networks to expand market presence.
• Assist in creating proposals and presentations for transportation clients.
