Job summary

Cardinal Health in the United States is seeking a senior Transportation Analytics leader to guide network design and optimization across the nationwide logistics network. You will mentor a team, model routing and location strategies, and drive cost savings through data-driven decisions.

The role requires deep expertise in transportation analytics, network optimization, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement scalable logistics solutions. Travel is expected around 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in transportation analytics, network design, or data modeling preferred.
• Strong knowledge of domestic transportation modes, regulations, and warehousing operations.
• Experience with Network Optimization and Analytics tools (Descartes WinRoute & Alteryx preferred).
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills including statistical analysis, regression modeling, and optimization techniques.
• Excellent business writing and communication skills for presenting data to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Travel Expectations: 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of transportation network design specialists.
• Identify and assess opportunities to improve logistics capabilities and service optimization.
• Optimize routing and location strategies using advanced modeling software.
• Design, implement, and maintain routing solutions that drive cost savings.
• Conduct cost-to-serve and fleet equipment analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Apply statistical analysis, regression modeling, and optimization techniques to enhance processes.
• Lead transportation cost modeling and support customer contract negotiations.
• Develop and operationalize new logistics capabilities through standardized processes.
• Build relationships across the enterprise to inform decisions and gather feedback.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Supply Chain Planning, Sales, and 3PL carriers for alignment.
• Translate complex analytics into actionable insights for stakeholders including executives.
• Ensure network designs are feasible within real-world transportation and warehousing capabilities.
