Job summary

US Foods in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Manager, Transportation to lead the Transportation department with a safety-first culture, develop drivers, ensure safe, accurate and timely outbound shipments to customers and other distribution centers.

You will manage personnel, coach on policy, monitor DOT compliance, control costs, and build high-performing teams while aligning with union and non-union drivers and cross-functional partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
• Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
• Experience as a driver is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a safety mindset to keep drivers, customers, and the public injury-free.
• Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching and policy training.
• Monitor production goals and ensure zero-error accuracy in outbound shipments.
• Direct and supervise the work of drivers and clerical staff within Transportation.
• Build high-performing teams through interviewing and hiring transport personnel.
