Job summary

Performance Food Group in California seeks a Transportation Manager to lead all facets of the transportation function in a fast-paced, customer-focused operation. You will select drivers, plan routes, manage safety, and ensure DOT/OSHA compliance while controlling expenses and vendor relations.

You will collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to maximize route profitability, schedule deliveries, monitor fleet performance, and implement cost-saving initiatives in a compliant environment.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years transportation manager experience required with DOT knowledge.
• Experience managing large fleets and multiple domiciles.
• Manager experience required; valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Transportation Supervisor staff to ensure safe, efficient deliveries.
• Manages day-to-day delivery admin, expenses, and driver payroll.
• Prepares annual transportation budget and cost analyses.
• Collaborates with Warehouse Manager to maximize efficiency.
• Schedules deliveries, routing, and equipment maintenance; DOT compliance.
