Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Transportation Manager to join the Transportation team in Missouri. The role supports retail transportation needs, coordinates goods transport to and from the agency, and supervises staff while ensuring cost-effective service and regulatory compliance.

The position is an hourly full-time role with a $35 hourly rate, requiring 3–5 years of tractor-trailer driving, a valid MO/IL CDL, DOT certification, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years Tractor Trailer driving experience.
• Valid MO or IL Driver's License and CDL.
• Must be DOT certified.
• Must maintain personal auto insurance.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to operate a truck per motor vehicle operator's manual in MO and IL.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Transportation.
• Ensure there is sufficient staff to support retail transportation needs and provide services to retail stores as needed.
• Maintain a system to provide transportation and collection of goods to and from agency.
• Help to coordinate, and monitor Retail's donated goods, transportation, and salvage.
• Responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
• Provide and maintain services in a cost-effective manner.
• Ensure budgetary constraints are maintained.
• Register, obtain inspection(s) and licensing of transportation operated vehicles in compliance with state regulations and guidelines.
• Obtain maintenance and repair of all transportation operated MERS/MGI vehicles, owned, or leased.
• Must read, follow, and model all MERS/Goodwill policies and Goodwill Retail procedures.
• Responsible for recording and maintaining accurate information for the DOT, Internal Revenue Service, and other assigned reporting requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
