Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a energetic, self-motivated CDL Truck Driver to join our Transportation team. The role supports our mission, Changing Lives Through the Power of Work, and reflects our values of diversity, integrity, passion, professionalism, respect and responsibility.

The driver will transport goods between sites, maintain vehicle records, load/unload shipments, and pick up donated materials, while complying with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Three to five years Tractor Trailer driving experience.
• Ability to operate a truck per motor vehicle operations manual in MO and IL.
• Perform heavy manual labor to transport merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and merchandise between various sites and locations as directed by upper management and transportation supervisor.
• Maintains vehicles maintenance records and operates vehicles in a courteous and safe manner.
• Reports any unsafe vehicle conditions to District Manager.
• Picks up donated materials from households, collection points, or retail/industrial donors and issues receipts when appropriate.
• Delivers retail shipments / donations to stores and assists in loading/unloading.
• Maintains delivery receipts in accordance with agency policy.
• Must observe all safety regulations set by the state, federal government, and the agency.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
