What You’ll Do

As the Transportation Manager, you will m anage Dyno Nobel Transportation Inc (DNTI) terminal(s), shop, and activities of site employees. You will be responsible for serving all internal/external customers in a professional, safe, and efficient manner consistent with Dyno Nobel Americas (DNA’s) and DNTI’s mission, vision, and values. Other duties include:

• Uphold site financial reporting including budget and monthly reconciliations.
• Generally, work in an office environment with visits to customer delivery locations and DNTI Terminal locations as required
• Operate and manage DNTI terminal(s)
• Maintain professional and effective leadership, conflict resolutions among drivers, customers and management.
• Direct daily assignments of the drivers and truck fleet including dispatch, route and equipment usage planning, and fuel management.
• Maintain maintenance records and vehicle inspection reports per Department of Transportation requirements.
• Act as company liaison for customers to sell the services of DNTI
• Responsible for hiring, termination and performance decisions regarding personnel .
• Responsible for compliance and training employees on DOT, FMCSR, MSHA regulations and company safety practices and policies.
• Must be on call 24 hours a day to respond and make decisions in emergency situations.
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or applicable field preferred or equivalent time/experience in job with proven skills
• 5+ years’ experience in trucking/logistics industry.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Materials, DOT, MSHA, and OSHA regulations.
• Class A CDL- Valid Medical Card with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Experience with transportation software programs (TMW, RoadNet, Mcloud, or Manugistics) required
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
