Job summary

Cash-Wa Distributing is seeking a Transportation Lead in Iowa to oversee and coordinate delivery routes, train drivers, and ensure efficient use of manpower to meet customer expectations. The role requires leadership, route management, and strong coordination with sales and customer service.

The position focuses on supervising driver schedules, performance, and adherence to delivery standards, while maintaining positive customer relationships and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships, resolve customer issues
• Serve as liaison between transportation and sales in the territory
• Manage and audit team members timekeeping
• Cover routes when needed; i.e. PTO, sick, unfilled positions
• Perform annual reviews and wage adjustment suggestions
• Investigate and document incidents and injuries, including retraining and/or disciplinary action
• Other administrative duties as necessary

We currently have open a Transportation Lead position which also needs to be able to run routes as necessary.

Leads are responsible for overseeing and coordinating the routes in their area. They will train and educate drivers in methods/procedures, provide guidance as needed, and holding them accountable for results. Leads must also ensure they are utilizing manpower efficiently to achieve the goals and minimizing labor costs while satisfying the customer.

Duties and Responsibilities

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 100lbs
• Immediate: Eligible for Paid holidays
• 30 days: Discounted product rates

Driver Requirements:

• 21 years old (interstate driving is possible)
