Job summary

Cash-Wa Distributing is seeking a Transportation Lead to oversee and coordinate routes, train drivers, and ensure efficient labor use while meeting customer expectations. The role requires leadership, route planning, and adherence to regulatory standards.

You will manage driver schedules, serve as the liaison between transportation and sales, and cover routes as needed. The position involves performance reviews, incident reporting, and additional administrative duties to support operations.

Qualifications

• CDL license required and good driving record.
• 21 years old or older; interstate driving possible.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs.
• Experience in transportation or delivery coordination preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
• Manage drivers' delivery schedules and hours worked.
• Establish and maintain positive customer relationships, resolve customer issues.
• Serve as liaison between transportation and sales in the territory.
• Cover routes when needed (PTO, sick days, unfilled positions).
• Perform annual reviews and wage adjustment suggestions.
• Investigate incidents and injuries, including retraining or disciplinary action.
• Perform other administrative duties as necessary.

We currently have open a Transportation Lead position which also needs to be able to run routes as necessary.Leads are responsible for overseeing and coordinating the routes in their area. They will train and educate drivers in methods/procedures, provide guidance as needed, and holding them accountable for results.
