Job summary

SST Direct is seeking an experienced CDL A Route Driver for a direct hire position in Davenport, IA. The role offers first shift with flexibility (5am or 7am) and a competitive hourly pay of $26/hr along with medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K with company match.

Responsibilities include meeting route schedules, delivering products on time, maintaining safety and housekeeping, and adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A commercial driver’s license.
• Maintain clean driving record per policy.
• Follow all DOT/state/local regulations.
• Be able to sit in a vehicle for long periods and lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Deliver products timely to customers.
• Maintain daily/weekly paperwork and vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

• Meet established route schedules and attend to deliveries.
• Deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Adhere to all company safety rules and policies.
• Communicate effectively with customers and supervisor.
• Cross-train on routes as needed.
• Perform equipment checks and paperwork.
• Work beyond schedule when required by production.

DIRECT HIRE: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced CDL A Route Driver to join a dynamic team.

Working Location: Davenport, IA. Pay: $26/hr. Shift: First shift, but with flexibility, 5am or 7am. Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K with company match, paid time off, paid holidays.

Responsibilities

• Be able to follow directions given by their supervisor or manager
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Possess and maintain a positive attitude
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
• Deliver the product to our customers in a timely manner
• Be able to work past the schedule, as production/delivery issues may arise
• Ability to properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork
• Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment
• Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit

Additional Responsibilities

• Cross-train on other routes per department needs
• Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed

Skills / Requirements

• Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
• Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
• Valid Class A drivers license
• Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations
• Must have clean driving record per company policy
• Have six months to one-year experience
• Be available to drive nights and weekends
• Ability to speak and read the English language
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
• Be able to use repetitive arm motions
