Job summary

Kraft Heinz in Chicago is seeking a Manager, Transportation Financial Performance to bridge Transportation Operations and Logistics Finance, translating operational activity into financial KPI visibility and actionable insights.

You'll own weekly KPI reporting, analyze cost drivers like freight and fuel, support cost-variance actions, and partner with Procurement on negotiations. A Bachelor's in a related field and 3–5 years of transportation or finance experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Transportation operations, supply chain, or a finance role with strong operational exposure.
• Strong understanding of Transportation cost drivers — freight, carrier management, fines, fuel, and network operations.
• Financial literacy — comfortable reading P&Ls, interpreting KPIs, and building business cases.
• Strong communication skills — able to engage credibly with both Ops leaders and Finance partners.
• Analytical mindset — able to connect operational data to financial outcomes.
• Collaborative and proactive — comfortable working across functions without direct authority.
• Experience with SAP, Excel, and data visualization tools preferred.
• Exposure to AI tools, dashboards, or automation initiatives is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the weekly performance meeting cadence with Transportation Ops leadership and Logistics Procurement.
• Act as the primary Finance point of contact for Transportation operational teams.
• Develop a deep understanding of Transportation cost drivers like carrier rates, fuel, network utilization, fines, and penalties.
• Partner with Ops to identify root causes behind cost variances and co-develop action plans.
