Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Environmental Planner focused on transportation to join our Environmental Planning team in California. This hybrid role can be based in Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, or Los Angeles, working with public and private clients to advance CEQA/NEPA studies.

You will support environmental documents, engage with agencies, and contribute to business development while collaborating with senior staff to deliver high-quality environmental work.

Qualifications

• CEQA/NEPA familiarity and environmental planning knowledge.
• 4 years of relevant experience focusing on environmental transportation (CEQA/NEPA).
• A valid driver’s license is required, with the ability to pass an MVR check.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage CEQA/NEPA documentation and technical studies for transportation, energy, and development projects.
• Analyze and describe environmental impacts for CEQA/NEPA documents.
• Coordinate project tasks among staff, subcontractors, and clients.
• Assist with financial and schedule management and reporting on tasks and projects.
• Assist with quality reviews of deliverables from colleagues and subconsultants.
• Support development of work scopes, staffing and cost estimates for contracts.
