Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mid-level Environmental Planner (Transportation focused) to join our California team in a hybrid role. The position supports CEQA/NEPA documentation and environmental studies for transportation, energy, and development projects, collaborating with cities, counties, and state agencies.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in environmental planning and 4 years of related experience, with a valid driver's license and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, or related field.
• 4 years of relevant experience focusing on environmental transportation (CEQA/NEPA).
• A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage CEQA/NEPA documentation and studies for transportation projects.
• Coordinate project tasks among technical staff, subcontractors, and clients.
• Assist with financial and schedule management and reporting on ongoing tasks and projects.
• Assist with business development efforts, including client engagement and proposals.
• Roles may include deputy project manager, task manager, or technical specialist depending on the assignment.
