Qualifications

• Certification as Transportation Engineering Technician Associate by WV Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board (WVTE TCB).
• Pre-Certification as Transportation Engineering Technician Associate by WVTE TCB.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming estimates and check funding in Oasis for construction projects.
• Submit Change Requests in HUB to alter funding, close projects, or extend start dates.
• Review and submit Subcontractor Requests from the main Contractor on projects.
• Communicate with WVDOH Contract Administration, Contractors, and Consultants to resolve concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Transportation Engineering Technician Associate will assist the District 4 Finals Supervisor and Construction Office Manager with tasks such as reviewing incoming estimates and checking funding in the Oasis computer program on construction and resurfacing projects, review them for accuracy and communicating with the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) Contract Administration, Contractors, and Consultants on projects to resolve related concerns, will be responsible for submitting Change Requests in the computer system (HUB) to alter funding, close the project, enter work start date or extend project as needed, and be responsible for reviewing and submitting Subcontractor Requests from the main Contractor on projects. Will perform other duties as assigned.

TRAINING/EDUCATION

• Certification as a Transportation Engineering Technician Associate by the West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board.
• OR
• Pre-Certification as a Transportation Engineering Technician Associate by the West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• None required.
