Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Transportation Group in Fairfax, VA, Richmond, VA, Roanoke, VA or Virginia Beach, VA offices. Opportunities include roadway design and hands-on project experience, with a housing stipend for eligible candidates.

Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and possess strong communication skills. The program offers workshops and a chance to work on meaningful, real-world projects with mentorship from senior

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Previous Transportation focused internship experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD).
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Desire to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design horizontal and vertical alignments for roadways.
• Assist with drainage, stormwater, and erosion control.
• Prepare contract plans for various projects.
