Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Transportation Intern to assist in the design of bridges, roads, and civil projects for the DOT. You will work with our Transportation team to create design drawings using AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer, while supporting engineers with calculations and documentation.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices and contribute to solving real engineering challenges and managing project deliverables.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing roads, bridges, and civil infrastructure for DOT and municipal clients.
• Create design drawings using AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer.
• Support engineers with calculations and technical documentation.
