Job summary

Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr & Huber is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Dayton, OH. The role focuses on assisting the transportation team with design of roads, bridges, and civil infrastructure for DOT and municipal clients.

You will create design drawings in AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer, support engineers with calculations and documentation, and collaborate with teams across offices on real projects and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing roads, bridges, and civil infrastructure for DOT and municipal clients.
