Job summary

Fishbeck in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will assist in the design of bridges, roads, and civil projects for the DOT, and collaborate with our Transportation team across offices to deliver projects.

Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering program, you will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD/OpenRoads Designer, contribute to real engineering challenges, and develop professional skills in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
• Eager to learn and contribute to meaningful projects.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Previous internship or DOT project experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing roads, bridges, and civil infrastructure for DOT and municipal clients.
• Create design drawings using AutoCAD and OpenRoads Designer.
• Support engineers with calculations and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across offices.
• Participate in solving real engineering challenges and managing project deliverables.
