Job summary

McCormick Taylor is seeking motivated Interns for Transportation projects in Mount Laurel, NJ. The internship may be full-time or part-time to fit a student’s course load, with opportunities to work on highway design and project tasks.

Interns will collaborate with engineers and project managers, gain hands-on experience with CAD tools, and contribute to roadway improvements, ADA design, and transit facilities while developing professional skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and working toward a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management.
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced engineers and project managers.
• Exposure to a variety of engineering challenges in your discipline.
• Exposure to highway engineering software including CAD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
• Assist staff in roadway improvements, intersection design, ADA design, bicycle facilities, site improvements, transit facilities, field visits and inspections.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and design skills.
