Job summary

McCormick Taylor is seeking an Intern, Transportation to join our team and gain hands-on experience across highway engineering projects. You will support engineers and project managers, contributing to roadway improvements and design tasks in a collaborative office setting.

The internship welcomes flexible full- or part-time scheduling to fit student course loads, with opportunities at several McCormick Taylor offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and management
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of CAD, Microsoft Office 365 Suite

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced Engineers and Project Managers
• Exposed to variety of highway engineering challenges in your discipline
• Exposed to CAD software including CAD MicroStation and AutoCAD
• Assist staff in roadway improvements, intersection design, ADA design, bicycle facilities, site improvements, transit facilities and field visits
• Perform basic engineering calculations and design tasks
