Job summary

IMEG Corporation in Austin, TX is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week summer program. You will assist with engineering analysis, design, field inspections, and report writing while learning the transportation engineering trade.

Work with cross-functional teams on municipal and transportation projects, participate in site drainage and grading design, and support project goals and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Assist with transportation-project design for highways, bridges, transit systems, and multimodal networks.
• Research resources for commercially available equipment.
• Support client relations, project design notebooks, and permanent records.
• Coordinate design and schedules with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical.
• Document design decisions and monitor project progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final check.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other required services.
