Job summary

IMEG Corporation seeks a Civil Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week, in-office summer program in Texas. You’ll support design, documentation, field observations, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams on municipal, university, and utility projects.

You'll work under engineers and mentors to learn civil design, site drainage, permitting, and reporting, with opportunities to contribute from day one and a clear path to potential full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil Engineering.
• May assist with surveying and materials testing.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; CAD and BIM experience preferred.
• Able to communicate clearly in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of civil projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Research resources for commercially available equipment.
• Support client relations and maintain the project design notebook.
• Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines.
• Document design decisions and monitor progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy prior to final check.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other contracted services.
