Job summary

IMEG Corporation in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for a 10-12 week, paid summer program in-office. You’ll assist with analysis, design, and oversight of civil systems, support field inspections, prepare reports, and help with site drainage and grading design under the guidance of experienced engineers.

The role provides mentoring, cross-disciplinary collaboration with architectural, structural, electrical teams, and exposure to municipal, university, and utility projects

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
• No prior internship or work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of civil projects according to code and IMEG standards.
• Research resources for commercially available equipment.
• Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical and equipment suppliers.
• Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and all other services as required by the contract services agreement.
