Baxter & Woodman is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for our Peoria Heights, IL office. This on‑the‑job opportunity supports our transportation department with planning and design of a variety of facilities and offers hands‑on experience in a transportation design team.

You will gain experience in plan review, CAD work, quantity computations, traffic analysis, data collection, surveying and construction inspection while collaborating with professional engineers.

Qualifications

• Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation Engineering.
• Available to start May 2027.
• Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman's service area (own transportation).
• Work in a team environment.
• Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills.

Compensation

-The hourly pay for this role is $23.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
