Arizona Department of Transportation in Flagstaff seeks a Transportation Engineering Specialist to monitor contract compliance, supervise inspection staff, and assist in plan reviews on statewide highway projects. You will coordinate with contractors, consultants and ADOT staff to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and federal/state regulations.

The role involves directing inspection teams, reviewing submittals, and supporting emergency operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of highway construction inspections, surveys, materials testing and documentation.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate a wide variety of technical engineering data and regulations.
• Proficiency in advanced mathematics and civil engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor work activities on construction projects.
• Review plans, standards and specifications to ensure compliance with ADOT requirements.
• Assist in submittal reviews, documentation and coordination with contractors and agencies.
