Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a civil engineering program (college-level technical or accredited university).
AutoCAD experience preferred, but not required.
Microsoft Word and Outlook mail knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

Performs CAD drafting and simple design tasks using current software.
Practices increasing proficiency in CAD applications.
Performs routine design tasks such as roadway layout, traffic management, traffic signal, construction estimates, and utility design.
Works on portions of projects on a task-by-task basis.
Conducts traffic data collection as directed by the engineer or project manager.
Creates design drawings to standards and produces graphs, overlays, and simple drawings using CAD.
Prepares quantity and cost estimates when requested.
Reviews existing conditions information for project sites.
Organizes digital documents and coordinates with outside companies for deliverables.
Performs other related assigned duties.
