Job summary

Fehr & Peers is seeking a Transportation Engineer or Planner in California with 2-4 years of experience. You will move from executing tasks to shaping approaches, leading efforts, and mentoring others.

You'll work on studies spanning CEQA, multimodal planning, access and parking, and travel demand modeling, developing technical reports and client relationships while growing toward project management roles.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in transportation planning or engineering.
• Experience applying transportation analysis techniques with increasing independence.
• Familiarity with software: Excel, GIS, CAD, and traffic operations tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead tasks and manage projects, including scope, schedule and budget.
• Apply analytical techniques independently with guidance when needed.
• Prepare clear technical reports, memos and presentations.
• Participate in and lead client meetings and support relationships.
• Mentor entry-level staff and interns, including reviewing work.
• Assist with proposals and business development.
