Job summary

ms consultants, inc. is offering a Highway/Traffic Transportation Engineer Internship for Summer 2027. The role supports roadways, drainage design, and field inspections across Columbus, Pittsburgh, or Raleigh, with mentorship from a dedicated manager.

Ideal candidates are Civil Engineering students with exposure to MicroStation/AutoCAD and a willingness to travel for inspections. A valid driver’s license and strong teamwork are important.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical skills and detail‑oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel for inspections; mileage reimbursed.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Roadway Geometric Design and Plan preparation.
• Assist with Drainage Design and Plan preparation.
• Assist with field inspections and data entry into software and reports.
• Collaborate with mentors and staff on diverse design assignments.
• Gain exposure to senior leadership and project teams.
