Job summary

ms consultants, inc. is offering a Highway/Traffic Transportation Engineer Internship for Summer 2027 in Raleigh, NC, with options in Columbus, OH, or Pittsburgh, OH.

You will work closely with a mentor on live transportation projects, gaining hands-on experience in roadway and drainage design and field inspections. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering degree, familiar with MicroStation or AutoCAD, and able to travel for inspections.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering or related degree.
• Experience with design software like MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with OpenRoad Designer is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong technical skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Roadway Geometric Design and Plan preparation.
• Assist with Drainage Design and Plan preparation.
• Assist with field inspections and data entry.
• Operate with proper training and use of access equipment.
• Undertake diverse design assignments under guidance.
