Job summary

WSB and Associates is offering a Transportation Design Intern position for Summer 2027. You will support planning, design, and delivery of transportation projects while gaining hands-on experience alongside engineers and project teams.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil or Transportation Engineering degree and are entering their junior or senior year, with an interest in roadways, traffic, and infrastructure and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads Designer.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or related field.
• Entering Junior or Senior year of study at the time of internship.
• Interest in transportation design and roadway engineering.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and preparation of plans for transportation projects.
• Support engineers with design calculations, traffic analyses, and technical evaluations.
• Prepare reports, specifications, and permit applications.
• Review drawings and documents for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Participate in meetings, site visits, and data collection activities.
• Collaborate with engineers and teams to deliver transportation solutions.
