Job summary

ms consultants, inc. in Columbus, OH (and Pittsburgh, PA; Raleigh, NC; Wilmington, NC) invites students for a Summer 2027 Transportation Internship. You will work on roadway, bridge, and drainage projects, gaining hands-on experience in design and field inspections.

You'll collaborate with mentors, use MicroStation/AutoCAD, and participate in real projects within our Transportation Business Unit. Travel to job sites is expected with reimbursement.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD; OpenRoad Designer preferred but not required.
Detail-oriented with strong technical skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to perform fieldwork.

Responsibilities

Assist with Roadway Geometric Design and Plan preparation.
Assist with Drainage Design and Plan preparation.
Assist with field inspections and data entry into software and documents.
Operate with training; travel for inspections; mileage reimbursed.
Support design assignments under guidance of a department manager.
