Job summary

ms consultants, inc. offers a Highway/Traffic Transportation Engineer Internship – Summer 2027 in Raleigh, NC (with options in Columbus, OH or Pittsburgh, PA).

You will work on live projects within the Transportation Business Unit, gaining hands-on experience in roadway and bridge design, drainage, and field inspections under mentorship. You'll collaborate with a dedicated manager and mentor, develop technical skills in Civil Engineering tools, and learn to deliver project reports and design

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with civil design tools is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Roadway Geometric Design and Plan preparation.
• Assist with Drainage Design and Plan preparation.
• Assist with field inspections and data entry into MS Word/Excel/Access; report assembly.
• Operate with required training and use equipment for fieldwork.
• Support senior staff on day-to-day projects and grow responsibilities.
