Texas Department of Transportation seeks a Transportation Engineer III for the Materials and Tests Division in Austin. The role involves advanced engineering work across planning, design, construction and operations with state-wide impact.

The candidate will lead analyses, prepare technical reports, and ensure compliance with standards. Requirements include a Bachelor's in engineering, 6 years of related experience, and a PE license (or the plan to obtain it).

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science (bachelor's or higher accepted).
• Licensed Professional Engineer is required or must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs advanced and complex transportation engineering work in planning, design, and operations.
• Investigates materials failures or fabrication problems; reviews test data and determines causes.
• Writes reports, specifications and test procedures; develops and reviews technical analyses.
