Texas Department of Transportation in Texas is seeking a qualified engineer to supervise area office operations and manage staff across construction, design, maintenance, and survey activities. The role reports to the Area Engineer and requires coordinating with officials and private entities.

The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 4 years of transportation engineering experience, and be a licensed Professional Engineer.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science is required or higher, accepted by TX PELS.
• 4 years transportation engineering experience, full-time or prorated part-time equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Assists Area Engineer in directing area office operations and manages staff involved in construction, design, maintenance, survey, laboratory activities and office operations.
• Reports to the Area Engineer with full authority for approval of work; responsible for area office operations in the absence of the Area Engineer.
• Estimates quantities, plans and schedules work, inspects roads, monitors maintenance activities, and coordinates work with construction projects.
• Monitors traffic control plans, conducts safety meetings, and prepares field changes and final reports.
• Liaises with governmental officials and private entities; handles public complaints; performs additional duties as assigned.
