Kimley-Horn's Richmond, Virginia office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Transportation Planning and Traffic team. This is not a remote position, based in Richmond, VA.

The role involves traffic engineering, project management, and business development, with opportunities to mentor staff and grow a personal practice within a leading transportation-engineering firm. Base salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering and ITS.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency in Synchro, HCS and/or Vissim is preferred.
• Ability to manage and mentor staff and communicate across levels.

Responsabilités

• Perform traffic engineering and project management for transportation planning, transit, safety, and ITS projects.
• Grow personal practice while contributing to the team’s development.
• Lead projects profitably and mentor staff on delivery.
• Support marketing and business development efforts and pursue clients.
• Collaborate with engineers, jurisdictions, and contractors on diverse projects.
• Build internal and external professional relationships.
