Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Reston, VA seeks a Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience for our Transportation Planning and Traffic team. This is not a remote position and offers a base salary range of $130,000.00–$150,000.00.

You will perform traffic engineering and project management for a broad set of transportation projects, mentor staff, and contribute to business development and marketing initiatives. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering and design.
• Proficiency in Synchro, HCS, and/or Vissim software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively.
• Experience in business development and marketing including proposals.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering and project management for transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety and ITS projects.
• Develop growth vision for personal practice and contribute to the firm's growth.
• Manage projects profitability, mentor staff, and lead delivery.
• Contribute to marketing and business development and pursue client leads.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, jurisdictions, and contractors.
