Kimley-Horn's Richmond, Virginia office seeks a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our Transportation Planning and Traffic team. This is not a remote position.

You will lead traffic engineering and project management across diverse transportation planning, transit, and ITS projects while mentoring staff and pursuing client opportunities. Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering and design, or ITS planning.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Proficiency in Synchro, HCS, and/or Vissim software applications.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Experience in business development and writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks delivering transportation planning, transit, traffic engineering, safety, and ITS projects.
• Lead growth through personal practice and contribute to the transportation engineering practice.
• Manage projects profitably, mentor staff, and transition work to qualified team members.
• Support marketing and business development to pursue leads and clients.
• Collaborate with engineers, jurisdictions, and contractors on diverse projects.
