Job summary
Horrocks is seeking a Transportation Engineer to design and analyze freeways, interstates, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails. You will prepare studies, reports, and cost estimates while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver projects.
The role requires a PE license, 8+ years in transportation, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; hydraulics and traffic experience are a plus. Growth paths include management, technical specialization, or a mix of both.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of experience in plan preparation procedures and standards.
- 8+ years of experience in Transportation.
- Professional Civil Engineering certification (P.E.).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software used in transportation engineering.
- Hydraulics and traffic experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and analyze freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared-use trails.
- Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, technicians, and support staff to complete projects.
- Lead project teams including engineers, designers, and field personnel on water systems.
