Job summary

Horrocks is seeking a Professional Engineer specializing in roadway design to lead and deliver projects from concept through final plans. You will design freeways, interstates, and interchanges, coordinate with surveyors, project managers, and other disciplines, and ensure adherence to budget and schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license required or within one year of hire.
• 2–5 years of roadway transportation experience.
• Experience on multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with AASHTO criteria.
• Experience with DOT standards and plan prep.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Detail oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze freeways, highways, interchanges, and trails.
• Prepare studies, reports, plans, specs, and cost estimates.
• Lead roadway design discipline under PM and coordinate with other design disciplines.
• Support client relations, stakeholder coordination, and subconsultants.
• Own projects from start to finish with quality, budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with coworkers to achieve shared success.
