Under the general direction of the Senior Transportation Engineer for Traffic Engineering & Operations, the incumbent collects data, performs analyses, and prepares traffic study reports for operational investigations. Responsibilities include reviewing traffic impact studies for local development projects, utilizing traffic software such as Synchro, SIDRA, and others, and assisting in executing ISOAP for the District. The position also involves preparing/reviewing sign and striping Plans, Specifications, and Estimates.
Candidates must review the Minimum Qualifications (MQs). If you meet MQs under Pattern II and need the TE Civil in-person written exam, do not take the online exam before passing the written hurdle, as it may affect your eligibility. Contact askexams@dot.ca.gov for more info.
