Job summary

Stantec is looking for an Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Transportation team. The EIT will support daily roadway engineering tasks from planning to design and construction support, including data collection, basic design calculations, modeling, and plan production for clients.

The role emphasizes proficiency with CAD software (MicroStation/AutoCAD) and hydraulic analyses, plus strong communication and a willingness to learn. Office-based position with possible field work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Engineering certification (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience. Co-op/Internship experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs data collection to be used as the basis of design.
• Performs hydraulic analyses of drainage structures.
• Performs roadway modeling to calculate earthwork.
• Conducts basic calculations and performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned.
• Assists team in preparing plans, drawings, and reports for various clients.
• Assist team with plan checking and quantity calculations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
