Job summary

The Senior Hub–Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County in Ohio is seeking a Transportation Driver to provide safe, reliable door-to-door transportation for older adults traveling to medical appointments. This role supports essential programs and community health by helping seniors access care with dignity.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of driving experience, the ability to assist clients in and out of vehicles, and CPR/First-Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience.

• Ability to maintain client privacy and safety.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable, door-to-door transportation to and from medical appointments for older adults.
• Assist clients entering and exiting the vehicle with care and respect.
• Maintain accurate daily transportation records and client information.
• Follow agency transportation policies, safety standards, and program requirements.
• Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle safety checks and keep the vehicle clean.
• Protect client privacy and confidentiality at all times.

The Senior Hub–Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is looking for a Transportation Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for older adults traveling to and from medical appointments.

The Senior Hub-Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is a large, 501c3 nonprofit organization serving Fairfield County. The agency serves as the county’s office on aging providing programs and services to improve health, connection, and independent living for those 60 and older living in Fairfield County.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Provide safe, reliable, and courteous door-to-door transportation to and from medical appointments for older adults approved for participation in the program
• Assist clients safely and respectfully with entering and exiting the vehicle, providing additional support as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely daily transportation records, trip documentation, and required client information
• Follow all agency transportation policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable program requirements
• Complete Defensive Driver training and consistently demonstrate safe, responsible, and defensive driving practices
• Obtain and maintain current in-person CPR and First-Aid certification
• Obtain and maintain DRIVE Train certification, along with any other required credentials, training, or certifications outlined in COAAA specifications for transportation providers
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable vehicle environment for clients including conducting pre- and post-trip vehicle safety checks
• Protect client privacy and confidentiality and handle client information appropriately at all times

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years of experience driving a vehicle

Experience assisting and/or transporting older adults, preferred
