Safely operate 12 passenger van in compliance with all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations.. Assist passengers with mobility needs, including wheelchair assistance and boarding/alighting procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.. Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including CPR and first aid when necessary, to address passenger health or safety issues promptly.. Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle interior and exterior, performing pre-trip inspections and reporting any mechanical issues immediately.. Communicate effectively with passengers using clear language; manage behavior and discipline when needed to ensure a respectful environment.. Respond quickly to traffic changes or route adjustments to ensure on-time arrivals while prioritizing passenger safety.. Adhere to all driving codes, policies, and local/state commercial driving laws while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times..
Proven experience in driving, including transit bus operation, school bus driving, truck driving with a strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.. Experience working with seniors is highly desirable; ability to manage behavior and provide compassionate customer service.. Knowledge of emergency response procedures for transportation situations such as accidents or medical emergencies; CPR certification is a plus.. Familiarity with wheelchair assistance techniques. Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage for serving diverse communities.. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements; knowledge of vehicle codes and transportation safety regulations required..
